Artist Summary

Like many artists, Debra has explored various mediums, and her work has evolved over the years. Nature, wildlife, photography, folk art, and her background in graphic design have all influenced her imaginative painting style.

Debra loved painting and photography as a child, and studied both pursuits in college. She has worked in web and graphic design and consulting, having helped brand and market more than 100 businesses.

While living in Georgia, Debra served as a founding board member of two art councils, and opened Braselton Gallery, where she represented 55 artists for 5 years. Currently, she works as a full-time Marketing Specialist for the Town of Braselton, Georgia, where she lived for 25 years.

Debra visited Western North Carolina over the years to enjoy the area's art, music, historic towns, and nature. Seeking an active and supportive art community, she relocated to Brevard, NC in October 2022.
